In case your wedding takes place in the summer, and it is hosted outside, you should be careful, because buttercream melts. Do not keep it in places where the temperature is high.
Last but not least, we have the ganache. Ganache is a mixture of cream and chocolate which is used either as filling or as frosting. You can use different cream to chocolate rations, depending on your preferences, or on the preferences of the guests. These are the main types of frostings.

Once the cake is frosted, it is time to add the decorations. The more decorations the cake has, the more expensive the cake will be. Decorations depend on the type of frosting you have for the cake. Before you choose the cake, ask the baker certain things. It is important to ask him/her about the ingredients the cake contains. In case the ingredients are rare an expensive, the cake will cost more. Once again, there is the frosting issue. The type of frosting the cake has influences his price. Fondant and marzipan are the most important types of frosting. Some bakeries establish the price per slice, whereas others ask a price for the whole cake.
You should also ask about the delivery of the cake. The bakery should offer free delivery, and in some cases they will stay there in order to solve potential cake problems. In case you want a custom made cake, the bakery should be able to do it. The time in which they make the cake is important. Sure, a cake takes lots of time to do it, but in case they need 2 or 3 weeks, you might want to find a different baker.
