The need of color in a wedding seems to contaminate more and more modern brides and their white wedding dresses. The white wedding gown era has finally reached a dead end now that so many colors are bursting into contemporary wedding dresses in order to make the bride look more distinguished in a crowd.

The idea of wearing a colored wedding dress is actually a vital one, especially for those brides who are truly dedicated to fashion and its ultimate trends and tendencies in wedding dresses. Wearing a wedding dress with color might be a great opportunity to express more of your individuality and of your personal taste, preferences and vision in matters of wedding dresses and favorite colors.

These days the off beat bride is free to follow her own favorite nuances and her own intuition in order to design her own colored wedding dress. Among the most popular colors that we can see this year in wedding dresses are: magenta, fuchsia, hot pink, coral, lime green, sage green, olive green, turquoise, aqua blue, purple, light violet, pearl gray, navy blue, baby blue, blush, pink rose, ecru, beige, champagne, burgundy, black, silver, scarlet red, vintage orange, gold, bronze, plum, teal or chocolate brown. Among all these, pastel tones are those ones that suit the modern innocent bride who is hopping to obtain that nature inspired look.

A baby blue wedding dress is definitely one of the most romantic, sensual, feminine and gorgeous colors that an inspired bride can opt for. Blue is next in line right after white in profound meanings, significations and bridal symbols. Blue stands for delicacy, spirituality, abundance, royalty, fidelity, warmth, clear blue skies, emotion, innocence, purity, faith, nostalgia, femininity, refinement, sweetness, truth, meditation, inspiration, creativity and friendship. One can combine this splendid color with other shades that can be complementary or contrasting, depending on what you envision for your big day.

If you want to keep the innocent natural look, you can opt for a sensual white and baby blue wedding dress. One can incorporate the blue color into a white wedding dress through different additional sashes, ribbons, flowers, bows or jewel appliqués.

On the other hand, one can find white wedding dresses with baby blue necklines, waist lines, hem lines or train lines. Other vibrant colors that can make the perfect contrasting look for a bold themed unconventional baby blue wedding dress are: yellows, vintage oranges, corals, hot pinks, purples, beiges, browns, lime greens, silver, gold, plum, lavender or magenta.

In general, baby blue wedding dresses are perfect for winter wedding affairs, especially if combined with silver accessories. If you’re planning a beach themed wedding, then a long flowing simple and clean baby blue wedding dress might be exactly what you really need.11

Who said that white is the color of innocence? I mean look at the first dresses in these pictures… they look so beautiful and innocent. I would love to see my daughter getting married in one of these dresses. In fact, I am going to show her these pictures and maybe she’ll love these dresses as much as I do. She is getting married next summer and she has started planning everything as of now because her future husband wants to give her the wedding of a lifetime. I can just imagine her wearing one of these dresses and a silver necklace and long earring. I can’t wait to see my baby girl in a wedding dress!
