All about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s wedding
After more than nine years together and six children, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally tied the knot! The wedding ceremony was held on Saturday, 23rd August, in the chapel of their Château Miraval in Correns, south France. It was an intimate and discrete event, that only 20 friends and family members attended.
Pitt and Jolie previously secured a marriage license in California and had their ceremony conducted by a retired judge.
The couple settled at the Chateau in 2008, before the birth of their twins, Knox and Vivienne. The property has an ancient chapel, a vineyard and a house with 35 rooms. In 2012 followed their engagement, when Angelina received a ring designed by jewler Robert Procop together with Pitt.
And now, the topic what probably interests you the most: Jolie’s wedding dress – simple, white silk-satin, with a full A-line skirt and a a silk veil. It was designed by Luigi Massi, the master tailor at Versace, that incorporated her kids artwork: Massi sewed dozens of drawings done by Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Vivienne, Shiloh and Knox into the dress and veil.
Jolie declared: “Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”
Pitt wore a suit from his closet and a tie borrowed from one of his sons, as he forget to pack his. Robert Procop, the jewler who designed Jolie’s engagement ring together, also created the couple’s wedding bands.
The newlyweds will probably be spending their honeymoon working in Malta for “By The Sea“, a movie that Angelina is directing after her own script. It’s their first onscreen reunion since their 2005 Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and they’ll play a married couple who become sexually obsessed with their neighbors.
