If you are a destination bride planning a tropical beach or island wedding, we recommend you to go with a turquoise wedding dress or a teal wedding dress and see how charming, feminine, delicate and romantically exotic this color is.

Blue is definitely one of the colors of the year in weddings and we can observe all over the place blue wedding dresses, blue wedding cakes and blue wedding bouquets. Not only for beach weddings, but also for winter weddings, a turquoise wedding dress can make the perfect choice.

Turquoise is one of the most refined, sweet, delicate, sensual, sensational, graceful and feminine derived shades. If we are to think of the many symbols of significations of the turquoise color, we would say the following: simple sophistication, fluidity, naturalness, luxury, coquetry, nonchalance, superiority, wealth, richness, marine landscapes, specialty, royal blue, health, healing, calmness, vibrancy, understanding, softness, warmth, visual impact, religiosity, spirituality, magic, seduction, openness, friendship, innocence, fidelity and affection.

The turquoise nuance is derived from the clever combination between blue and green. In order to obtain a light turquoise one must use more blue. When used more green than blue the final shade is called “teal”. As you can see from all the meanings listed above, the turquoise nuance can be more than suitable for a wedding day and all its significations. In general, blue is a tranquil color that instigates in meditation, day-dreaming, calamity, sleep and peace of mind.

There is no other color that can be more peaceful, reassuring and welcoming or warm than blue. In general, we can see this splendid charming color incorporated in wedding, especially in weddings cakes, in various clever combinations. One can pick a chocolate brown and turquoise theme, a blush and turquoise theme, a black and turquoise theme, a lime green and turquoise theme and a yellow and turquoise theme for the whole wedding.

When it comes to wedding dresses, brides can simply choose this color as an elegant, vibrant and surprisingly themed accent to a white wedding dress, or as a full color.

For this shade to look as splendid as it really is it would be best to opt for a light weighted breezy flowing wedding dress design. One can pick a sensual off the shoulders turquoise wedding dress, a spaghetti strap turquoise wedding dress, a strapless sweetheart sheath turquoise wedding dress or a mermaid or a siren style turquoise wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves.

For those who choose to incorporate the turquoise color into a predominant white wedding dress the idea of using a sash, a ribbon, a waist band with a bow or a flower, a floral pattern or perhaps a jewel appliqué or lace embroideries might seem the most inspired one.11

Thank you for making my choices easier. I want a turquoise wedding dress but I didn’t know exactly what type of line or fabric to use. Thanks to you I can make the right choices now and go for that breezy wedding dress I’ve always dreamed of. I will have a turquoise wedding, namely my dress, the bouquet, the decorations and the cake, but I don’t want people to say it is too much turquoise. So I will choose a very light shade of turquoise and I might just add some teal shades to highlight some of the decorations.I think it’ a great color for a beach wedding and this is why I chose it. Hope it will look beautiful on me.
