Planning An Inexpensive Wedding
The other day, I heard someone complaining about how she has to plan her wedding and had a very low budget. Nothing new so far, it just made me wonder: how would the schedule of someone who is planning an inexpensive wedding look like?

Well, first of all, we should know that there is no such thing as planning an inexpensive wedding. Except if you want to get married in the woods (for the atmosphere) and the person who is performing the ceremony is a friend of yours. A very good friend! But we can think about inexpensive, as less expensive than a regular wedding. If you have a tight budget and don’t want to spend too much on your wedding day, you can choose to have a home wedding, for example. Planning a home wedding is not that difficult and think about how much money you are going to economize. You won’t have to pay for the location, flowers or decorations.
If you have less than 30 guests, you can consider preparing your own food, nothing complicated and fancy. You can prepare some appetizers or nicely decorated salads or whatever you feel like serving. For the music, you can ask one of your friends to be a DJ for a day. Think how fun and convenient it will be. He wouldn’t have to get you a wedding gift and you wouldn’t have to pay for his services.
Another idea for planning an inexpensive wedding can be a wedding in the woods. But not like the one from the beginning of the article. You can choose a nice little place in a wood, close to your home or even a park. Set some chairs for your guests and you are done. Imagine how romantic it would be getting married under an old tree, on a sunny day in June, with your family and your closest friends witnessing your commitment to one another. And you wouldn’t have to pay too much. Practically just the transportation, the chairs and the minister. For a wedding bouquet you can pick up some wildflowers and tie them with a ribbon and for the music you can make a CD with the songs you would like to accompany you when walking down the “aisle”.
Not to mention the fact that if you are living near the beach, you can organize yourself a hell of a wedding. The white sand playing through your toes, the light breeze touching your hair and the man of your life in front of you. What could be more romantic? And inexpensive?
If you put your mind to it and you are forced by the circumstances, you can easily find solutions to your problems. Planning an inexpensive wedding should not be an issue for those who truly love each other. Feeling loved is the one thing that should matter the most, not how luxurious is the wedding or how many guests you have. I am not saying this doesn’t matter at all, but the beauty and sincerity of a simple wedding, sometimes weights more that the expensive price of a large, pompous wedding.11
