Many people belief that the optimism comes from a good word. So it is when it comes about a wedding day. In other words, great sayings are aimed to encourage people and to reveal the juicy and emotional aspect.
Such kinds of quotations are usually included in a wedding religious ceremony, for example: “There are three things that last: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13. Others choose to include such sayings in the wedding vows, as they express romance, love and deep emotions: “True love stories never have endings.”(Richard Bach) or “My whole heart for my whole life.”(French saying).
Apart from this, there are cases when grooms include in their wedding program love declarations, almost as the wedding oaths. So that great sayings about wedding are their source of inspiration. There is nothing more romantic than your lover reading a poem for you: “A hundred hearts would be too few/To carry all my love for you.”(author unknown) or “Tell me how many beads there are/In a silver chain/Of evening rain,/Unraveled from the tumbling main,/And threading the eye of a yellow star:/So many times do I love again.”(Thomas Lovell Beddoes).
Furthermore, to a wedding speeches are essential. It is the moment when guests and parents congratulate the grooms. But to make it more interesting than an common and boring speech some quotations can add an original note. For example:”Marriage is the only war where you sleep with the enemy.”(Gary Busey) or “Spouse: someone who’ll stand by you through all the trouble you wouldn’t have had if you’d stayed single.” (author unknown). As for the toast that the bride will have for her groom she can say: “I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,/A church filled with family and friends./I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,/He said one that would make me his wife.”(author unknown) and so, other words are no longer needed.
To sum up, “All the weddings are pretty much common, but every marriage has its way.” says J.P.Burger. I believe that such quotes used to a wedding are aimed to reveal the true happiness, the pure love and sincere desire to unify themselves. The moral aspect of them tries to show that above all love has the power to influence people to get married, love is the base and the solid foundation for the wedded life.11
