Body Language: Twisting Wedding Ring

What does it mean when a man or a woman plays with their wedding ring? If you are unfamiliar with this subject, you might think that they are just anxious about something that will soon going to happen, but if you can read body language, you can understand that playing with a piece of jewelry gives more information about that person than he or she would want others to know. Why is that? Because a person who plays with their wedding ring gives details about his/her feelings towards his/her partner.

Reading a male body language is pretty difficult, but reading a female body language is virtually impossible, if you are not a psychologist. Most likely you know that famous phrase that says that “even an ocean is not that deep as a woman’s heart”; well, that phrase is used to express the fact that women master the way of expressing their emotions much better than men. Most men express their feelings through some gestures, but women use a lot of other methods to express what they want to say.

For example, when a man plays with his wedding ring, it means that he actually plays with his partner’s feelings, and he does not care about her too much, but when a woman does the same thing, this could mean something different. If she also has a smile on her face, if her eyebrows are a bit raised, if she has expression wrinkles when she smiles, and if she speaks to a man, while having all these gestures, it means that she is ready to start a new relationship with that man, and that she also plays with her partner’s feelings. However, if she twists her wedding ring, while discussing to a man, and if her figure is sad, her eyes look down and she does not wear any makeup, it means that she is desperate about something; who knows, probably that man to whom she talks is her husband’s doctor, telling her that he has a serious disease.

Certain body languages are like reflect actions, which means they cannot be controlled, while others can be controlled by people with enough experience in this field. For instance, those who practice yoga can think of something and their body could express a totally different thing. So in case your partner is not a yoga practitioner himself/herself, do not worry that you will not be able to enter his/her mind.

Body language is for everyone, not only for psychologist students or teachers. However, to be able to fully understand what a man or a woman really wants to say when they are playing with their wedding rings, we recommend you to read several books about body language first. And since we have mentioned this difference between men and women, make sure to differentiate body languages depending on someone’s gender, because a smile on a man’s face could mean an entire different thing than a smile on a woman’s face. Learn how to recognize the simplest emotions and in a few weeks afterwards, you will be able to understand better a person’s body language when playing with their jewelry too.

Excellent article. I also believe that playing with a ring can also indicate that their ring is uncomfortably tight and that the subject needs to relieve the pressure occasionally. Whether or not relieving pressure from the ring leads to a propensity toward playing with a partners emotions or whether bloating causes this propensity is debatable.
